The Fellowship of Christian athletes is seeing lives transformed one heart at a time. Since 1954, FCA has been challenging coaches and athletes on the Professional, College, High School, Junior High and Youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ. Greater Charlotte FCA serves coaches and athletes throughout a fourteen county territory surrounding the Charlotte Metro area in both North and South Carolina.
As we engage coaches and athletes to grow in their faith and sport, we desire to see an authentic movement of God's Spirit for salvation and multiplication. The great missionary David Brainerd once said, “Lord, let me make a difference for you utterly disproportionate to who I am.”
Jeremiah 29:5 says, “But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in it's welfare you will find your welfare.” John Piper pleads with people to “dream on how you can display the trustworthiness of Jesus in your city.” Our Greater Charlotte FCA Team longs to serve our city and be a life-giving asset to our community for the glory of Jesus. This is our hope; this is our dream; this is our prayer — That as we engage, equip, and empower coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ, God will use us to make a difference for him that is utterly disproportionate to who we are.
